These benches were built in hope
for visitors to enjoy walking
in Kanazawa City.
Starting from Kanazawa Station,
there
are 11 bench types in 11 locations of the central area of Kanazawa.
They represent the Kitamae-bune ships and the port which brought proseperity and blessings to the castle town in former days.
These benches are made of local Noto Hiba wooden materials which were also used for the Kitamae-bune ships. The bench legs are of Tomuroishi stone that was also utilized for the stone walls of Kanazawa Castle.
Just like for the Tsuzumimon Gate of Kanazawa Station, strong
large sections of polished lumber covered by water and
snow-proof
agents are used.

You can enjoy the scenery of Kanazawa as if looking through a telescope by using your smartphone from each bench.
You can pose for a picture with scenery of former days as background at each location.
